Trainings/Workshops

We hold our team & extensive network accountable for the care they provide to Queer & Trans, Black, Indigenous, & other People of Color communities. Through our paid trainings, we support all mental health professionals to gain specific knowledge & understandings of the various identities our clients may hold to better serve them in their healing journeys. These trainings have spanned sexuality & gender, immigration, burnout, religious trauma, & many other experiences.

Our workshops, free & donation-based, also support mental health professionals & clients alike in gaining psycho-education, supportive coping skills, & a chance to ask our team questions about specific experiences they may otherwise feel unable to ask.

If you have suggestions or requests for future trainings & workshops, please contact us!

Shame & Healing w. QTBIPOC Muslim Clients

Mental health providers know loads about the forces of shame against our self-worth and self-perception. We know various systems of power, including religious institutions, use shame to oppress communities by inciting fear and blame to uphold these oppressive systems.

But what if we could decolonize what we know of faith and spirituality to foster trauma healing and emotional regulation among our communities? Join Verdah Kazi, MHC-LP, in this one hour training to learn how to help your Queer Muslim clients combat shame using a Feminist psychological perspective.
